The New Way To Reduce Your Motoring Costs

Spark Plug

The spark plug has always been at the heart of every petrol engine. It’s function is to convert the fuel and air mixture into a controlled explosion which spreads throughout the combustion chamber. A typical spark plug will spark 108,000 times per hour when the engine is at idle. This increases vastly when the car is driven. Changing your spark plugs at the recommended interval is vital to maintain the smooth running of the engine and not increase your fuel consumption. Indeed as the spark plug starts to lose it’s efficiency from the moment it is fitted it is good practise to replace your plugs before the due interval.
